As a result, they’re more likely to impulse buy a product that promises results, and they’re less sensitive to cost. Following this logic, an e-book to help the unemployed find work within 30 days is a more viable affiliate product than an e-book to help people improve their golf swing.

Affiliate marketing has increased in prominence with the internet age. Amazon popularized the practice by creating an affiliate marketing program where websites and bloggers put links to the Amazon page for a product being reviewed or discussed in order to receive advertising fees when a purchase is made. In this sense, affiliate marketing is essentially a pay for performance marketing program where the act of selling a consumer on a product is outsourced across a potentially vast network.
StudioPress itself is somewhat of a niche product as it is targeted to existing WordPress users who found setting up and managing a WordPress site too difficult or time-consuming. StudioPress prides itself on being easy to use, but their main claim to fame is that their hosted websites are “faster and more secure” than other WordPress hosting companies as well as using the “Genesis framework” which is supposedly more SEO friendly than other WordPress builds.
On-site Analytics (preferably Google Analytics) – It’s free and can be easily integrated with WordPress and other website platforms. Google Analytics lets you see bounce rates, sources of traffic, keywords used to land your site, and a whole lot more. You can use this information in developing your topics that your readers like best and improve traffic of your site.

Carry out your keyword research to determine what users are looking for. Use your content to address the user’s pain points, and you have yourself a foundation of a sustainable business. After all, you earn only when you solve a problem for your users. And with an affiliate site, you’re simply showing them why the product you’re recommending is the solution they need. Leadpages claims that its affiliate program is not exclusively for affiliate marketers, which is true, but the narrow focus of this niche means that only professionals affiliate marketers will ever be able to earn significant income from the program. Leadpages’s affiliate program does offer quite a lot of different options (webinars, videos, blog posts, free marketing courses, etc.) to send referrals to, which can lead to higher conversion rates if done correctly.
The major search engines use esoteric algorithms to rank websites, and no one knows the exact formula that places one website ahead of another. One thing that is certain, though, is that stale content confers a major penalty. If several weeks or months pass without an update to your website, you can watch it start to slide down the rankings, sending your traffic numbers – and your affiliate sales – plummeting.
Write down the types of people who like the products you have chosen to market. This is your target market. Women will be more interested in fashion or jewelry than teenage boys for example, but younger newly married women may be more interested in baby or family-oriented products instead. Write down as many details as you can for your target market because being able to speak to them on their level through your publishing and advertising efforts is critical to a successful affiliate business.
These two services are requirements for a successful affiliate marketing website.
